June 12 to July 15, the Soviet area of Saransk will be one of the places for the FIFA fans festival. During the World Cup, residents and guests of the capital of Mordovia will have an excellent opportunity to watch the confrontations of the world’s strongest teams on a giant screen in a specially organized fan zone designed for 20,000 spectators. The entrance to the site is free, presentation of a fan’s passport is not required.
Mass review of the 2018 World Cup will be accompanied by a rich musical and entertainment program. Along with this, the visitors of the Festival will be able to participate in various activities from Partners and Sponsors of FIFA, purchase souvenirs from folk craftsmen and branded attributes with tournament symbols, and also get acquainted with the history of the city hosting the main football event of the fourth year in detail.
On June 12, the Day of the City, the leading sports fan of the festival, Dmitry Guberniev, will lead the grand opening of the Fanfest. The headliners of the first day of the Festival will be the pop-rock band City 312 and a group of DJs and musicians Swanky Tunes.
On July 15, the closing ceremony of the Fan Fest will be held by the “Brigade U” – the leading morning show on the “Europa Plus” radio station. Together with them, the festival will be closed by the famous Dutch singer Eva Simons and the Russian folk-rock band The Hatters.
In the days of the matches, Yevgeny Chebatkov, the resident of the StandUp show on TNT and the permanent host of the Russian Open Mic, will lead the fascinating event. The musical headliners of the game days will be “My Michel” (June 16), “Malbec and Suzanne” (June 19), Loc Dog (June 25) and 5sta Family (June 28). In addition, during the playing days in Saransk, DJ Antonio, Alexander Popov, British DJ Paul Oakenfold and DJ Feel will perform alternately. June 23, on the date of the proms, on the Soviet Square you can hear and see Noize MC and Julia Pago.

The Fan Fest will be closed for visits only on the following days: June 13 and 29, July 4-5, July 8-9 and July 12-13.
For the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA fans’ festival will be held simultaneously in all 11 host cities of the tournament. Saransk will host four matches of the group stage of World Cup 2018: Peru – Denmark (June 16, 19:00), Colombia – Japan (June 19, 15:00), IR. Iran – Portugal (June 25, 21:00) and Panama – Tunisia (June 28, 21:00).
